Lowering Pennsylvania’s CNI Tax Rate

Our advocacy in 2021 laid the foundation for what may turn out to be a historic improvement in Pennsylvania’s competitiveness, resulting in:

Passage of legislation out of the Senate Finance Committee, the first vote to reduce the CNI tax rate in several years
Introduction of a tax reform concept we support via key legislation that calls for a statutory trigger mechanism by state Sen. Ryan Aument (R-Lancaster)
Legislation that would provide dynamic scoring for the fiscal impact of state legislation, connecting the dots between an improved tax climate and increased tax revenue via growth

ON THE HORIZON

CNI Tax Reduction

We are continuing to advocate towards our goal to materially reduce the CNI tax immediately.

Permitting Reform

We will advocate for reform of state and local permitting so that key permit times are reduced.

Cluster Support

We will support a regulatory environment and policies that encourage growth, especially in our key cluster of robotics/AI and energy.

Robust Economic Development Funding

We will work with the state to ensure economic development efforts are well funded across Pennsylvania.
